Anyone know fastest/quickest times for stock drivetrain?
Not that its a "record" im chasing, but the last thing i need for my car is a dog box so ive been out beating up on stock trannys. No cuff, no diff, no axles, no nothing...trying to see where i stack up lol. Been 9.3@165 on a bone stock GSR trans and stock axles/mid-shaft. Spare me the "stop wasting my time with stock stuff" speeches, i know the car needs a trans, and im not spending money on a diff or cuff till i know what trans im going with . So in the mean time....
I have rev limit based on MPH, so over 130mph it can rev to 10500. Below that, its 9500. Im not sure on power as it hasnt been on the dyno in a long time. But im guessing 900whpish. haltech is telling me im surpassing 90% duty cycle on ID2000.
Damn, don't know how 4th gear is staying in one piece. I've broken a 4th at 600 whp in a EG hatch. We had a car here in South Africa that went 9.70 at 155 on a stock trans - but it would last a few passes and then spit out 3rd or 4th gear.
Car is moving for sure - well done!

If you feel like sharing privately I would love to see a log of that pass or any others similar to it. Last car I was heavily involved with we had issues with final drives when approaching the high 9 second mark. I tried a lot of different tricks to keep the power delivery smooth and manageable and it helped but then we started breaking 2nd etc. That was at about 680 whp. If you would rather not share I can understand but I figured it was worth a shot.

The car is on a Haltech Elite 2500, and it is a very conservative tune, timing has been pulled down a bit and the AFR is rich to help keep TQ down a bit as well. I make the car spin pretty hard coming out so it doesnt hook and break things. It does tear up 4th gear about every 20-25 passes.
damn how many virgins did you sacrifice to the tranny gods?
I have to to talk to my brother about his driving style, I can't keep the drivetrain together for 5 passes at 800
thinking about out doing the clutchmasters fluid control valve to ease the shock loads.

Went a bit faster and quicker in todays heat...9.31@167

Awesome work! What engine + turbo setup?
How are you finding the Haltech? I was leaning pretty heavy towards it before biting the bullet and going Motec M1

I love the Haltech. No complaints on it at all. Setup is a stock port B16 head, BC cams, Ferrea in the head, BC steel rods (625+ rod bolts), JE 10:1 pistons, stock skunk2 intake manifold, i made the forward facing turbo manifold, and its a Precison 7285 on 37-38lbs on E98. Comp twin disc and stock everything drivetrain.
In the early days there wasn't any options for transmissions except for a G-force in the later years. I believe Stephanie Eggum ran mid 8's before she switched to a G-force. Stephan Papadakis ran 8's on a stock trans.
Right...their cars had diffs and axles at least
Im mostly looking for comparisons of what people have done on completely stock open diff, stock axle setups
