Icon5 2002 accord dies while driving; won't start. Help!

I have a 2002 accord 4 cylinder; recently car started trend of randomly losing power while cruising on interstate. I'd have no power for a few seconds and then it would cut off. Happens with no warning, car runs and idles smooth as ever. First few times just pulled over and sat for a moment and would start right back up no problem. Yesterday in the rain car cut off completely while driving and now won't start back. At the most it will crank and start for maybe 2 seconds but immediately cough and die. Had similar problem about a year ago, replaced fuel pump, plugs, wires, distributor cap and finally main relay and that fixed it. But now almost the exact thing again.. I was thinking egr valve at first but didn't think that would cause a no start. Any suggestions?? At a loss

What is missing - fuel or spark, air is almost a given.

You can test for fuel at the rail, or for power at the pump.

You can also test for spark - either at the plug or at least for power on the BLK/YEL wire going to the dist.

My guess, replace nothing on a guess -testing needed, is the main relay or the electrical part of the ign switch.

Thanks for the suggestions poorman. The fuel pump and main relay were both replaced under a year ago when I had a similar problem. I thought the relay may have gone bad again so bought another from autozone for 60 bucks but no difference. I'm going to have it towed home and then I'll be able to look into it more extensively and do some testing
