94 Accord Manual Transmission Issue
I am new to the forum and hope this is in correct place and format and everything. But anyway, i have a 94 Accord that my brother swapped an F23a from HMO into, but left the stock F22 5-speed. I am not sure if they run the same transmission stock? We are not sure if the car had the issue before the swap because he literally got the swap done 2 days after buying the car. The issue is that the clutch slave cylinder gets blown after only a couple of months, maybe less, and the clutch and/or pressure plate are getting worn down every rime after only roughly 6 months. It does the same.thing each time. It begins to get hard to shift into some of the gears and geta worse and worse until i either have to change slave cylinder and eventually the clutch. The mechanic that did the swap and has worked on Hondas professionally for years now told my brother that he needs to get pedal assembly replaced? I am wondering if this sounds like the culprit to you guys and if it is would i change the entire pedal assembly or is there way to just change clutch pedal assembly? Or is it doing this because the transmission is not supposed to be with that motor? Any information or suggestions would be appreciated. I am starting to take my transmission out and already have new clutch kit that i was planning on installing today and tomorrow and i would like to.fix the issue while i have it torn apart so that it doesnt destroy this one as well. I also have replaced the master and slave cylinders since it went out this time. Thanks!!
