I have a 91 Honda a cord that recently would not stay running. It would do it at any random time. Now this morning it won't stay running unless I hold the key to the on position. I read a person saying change the eltronic part of the ignition. I did and no change. If I hold the key on it will run forever.let off and it sputtera and dies and if you give it has it does it faster.

 

if You have AAA or similar, they have a lock mech who will give you some assist. Barring that, I suspect that the ignition mechanism is shot. My 91 did the same thing and I had to change out the cylinder etc.

 

I change the electrical and the tumbler part of the ignition and it still won't stay running.

Had the same issue with my 91 crx for me it was the ignition switch that was the problem might be for you or the entire assembly could be it best of luck bro
