in order to get a replacement key and a valet key for a 2003 civic hybrid I just bought, do I need to go to a dealer? (closest one is 100+ miles away) Also, to get an unlock code for the radio, do I need to take it to a dealer? (radio is locked because the battery, 12V battery, was dead when I bought it)

 

Wrong forum, but dealer would be easiest in both situations. A dealer MIGHT give you the unlock code for the radio, but I highly doubt it. The code may also be listed in the manual. As for the key, you can usually get the key programmed at many dealerships or car lots.

 

We do not discuss CODE's on Honda-Tech. You'll need to either go to a dealer, or check your glove box area or in the Owner's Manual for the CODE.

 

This link is all you need to reset the radio. Go to the dealer or a reputable locksmith for the key. Many of the locksmiths now have the capability to cut and program your keys for you.
