First look - RSX Type-S - a decade late
So my 00 Integra GSR was in a hit and run. I'll spare you the details, but I chased him down and got a decent uninsured motorist payout from State Farm. That one is in the rebuild process, almost done
I bought a 2005 RSX-S.I test drove one in 2006 (EDIT: It was an EP3 SI cause I remember the stupid shifter in the dash) and was not impressed, too much shifting and not enough hauling @$$, but that was really apples and oranges. Here are some observations for the hell of it...
Pros:
Strong NA engine (K20Z1)
Stiff suspension and nice size tires stock
Powerful A/C (It's hot in CA)
Neutral:
Steering wheel feels like a game controller. I was informed that it has electronic assist steering...
6 speed manual takes some getting used to
Slightly boring to look at, Jade Green Metallic... it gets lost in the parking lot
Cons:
Interior leather is poor quality compared to my GSR
Forced Induction options very limited when trying to stay somewhat stock/sleeper
Open differential must be a joke on the US market, 1/4 mile and 0-60 times are negatively impacted by this
K series engines and parts are very expensive, probably because everyone wants a K swap
I'm sure this forum and clubrsx.com will be hearing a lot more from me soon.

In my opinion the Type S from 05-06 was the best value vehicle on the market period. Show me a better built versatile car that's still around today. I love mine and it still gets compliments regularly.
