Newish Member/ New Ride
Hey Guys,
Looking to get back going on this site. I was a member for years around 2007 but I got out of the scene due to a growing family. Back in the day I owned a 95 & 96 Civic both with B18's so I've been down the tuner road before. Recently I was able to purchase a 95 Integra LS with 64,000 original miles on it. I was happy that there were minimal mods already done to it as normally you find a bunch of "ricer mod" cars in my area. There was minor damage to the front due to previous owner having someone back into him but nothing major.
The car sets pretty much as I bought it. 16" Rota GT3's , Type One Function & Form Coilovers, HID Low Beams, and a lip. The only this I dislike would be that the previous owner cut off the muffler and just welded on a chrome tip. It is now loud as hell!
Since purchasing it I've added the parts below.
Skunk2 shifter
Skunk2 **** - I'm now a believer that a quality(heavier) shifter & **** is a must. The car shifts so much better now!
Type R shift boot
Hi-beam HID
K&N Filter
Removed factory wing
New Oil Pan Gasket, Valve Cover Gasket, Cam Seal, & Distributor O-ring
Front & Rear Splash/Mud Guards(in the mail now)
Energy Suspension Bushing Kit(full $150 kit came with the car)
Next on the list will be an Yonaka or a Type R Exhaust - Going cheap for now due to future build plans.
I have great plans for this car and plan to take my time and build this car the way it should be. The first major mod will be a K24/K20 swap. The car will sit with the current modifications for a while as I save cash and hoard parts.
I plan to fully build this motor/car and use it as bonding time with my son. Once I have all parts for the swap I will be purchasing a JDM front and painting the car Type R yellow.
I'm glad to be back on the scene again. I feel at home in a Honda/Acura! Here are a few pics of the car...enjoy!!
