Default A/C Reduction: 2003 LX

So I would like to get more space out of my engine bay and front clip without removing the front metal bar behind my bumper. My question is, is there such thing as a smaller A/C condenser and can I make my own custom A/C lines?

You can use a smaller condenser, typically its just a matter of finding one that works for you, making custom mounts and then figuring out the appropriate amount of freon is needed for the whole system, once you change the size of something in the system the amount of freon required for the system to operate correctly is going to change as well. There are shops that can make custom a/c lines, it is just a matter of finding one local to you and talking to them about what you want.

I personally have never done it, but I have seen show cars local and talked to people who are in the process of doing it.

Thanks for the response. I was thinking I would mimic the size and width of the A/C piping, buy a smaller condenser and get a shop to handle the freon, that way I could manipulate the placement to where ever I want it to go. Whats your opinion on that?
Also, does the condenser necessarily have to be on the front of the vehicle?

I don't really see an issue with doing that, probably going to have to go to a a/c specialty shop in order to get the right amount of freon put in. Most shops, at least around me, will only fill what is suppose to be in the vehicle.

Putting the condenser in the front of the vehicle would be best, more for air flow than anything. I suppose you could always move it and put a smaller fan on it if needed to help with cooling at both idle/slow speed and higher speeds. I am not sure where you could move it to in the engine bay, besides up by the radiator support (stock location), there really isn't anywhere decent.
