Hello sorry new to this, but i was driving my GSR down the freeway, going home and all of a sudden my RPMs drop to 0. I could put the shifter into gear but it wouldn't grab( rpms still at 0) but I was able to rev it up. I had to coast off the freeway, and I had turned off the car, and when I turned it back on, it would start up and immediately die right after. Can someone please help me out, thank you for your time.

 

sounds like icm is biting the dust.
i'm running the airtex unit from rockauto,
reasonably priced with a convincing blurb.
so far so good. ignition coil and fuel pump
are other likely suspects but the tach at 0 is
classic icm failure.

I second what tamboo said, tach problems combined with the car not running indicate that something is up with the ICM.
