why would you need downforce on the back of the car on a front wheel drive car? You need more downforce on the front of the car. BTW parkbenches dont do sh*t.

I have my reasons for wanting downforce for the back end.......and some of the park benches are actual inverted airfoils....so they do work.....I just think they look like crap on the hatches....

So I'll ask again.........do any of the spoilers for the EK actually add downforce??

Uh, road racing? Aerodynamics come into play at 40 MPH, and last time I checked, I was hitting upwards of 120 at Limerock and NHIS. Yeah, downforce in the front AND rear helps alot.

No doubt. Too bad I have an EJ1. I don't like big wings on my car so I have a lip spoiler that I'm sure doesnt' do anything. But Spoon or CTR wings on EG/EK's are HOT.

And yeah, they work at 100+ mph too

I dont know all the parkbenches I see around here look like they would slow the car down more than anything else...how often are you going to have your car up over 100+ miles for more than a minute? I'm just curious? Couldn't you just lower your car and get the same affect?

i know this doesn't answer your question but you could consider other things such as finding spoilers that reduce drag and lift due to the shape of a HB.

The spoilers on hatches usually aren't for downforce at all, but the cut down on the turbulence in the back of the car.

Wings DO work, at just about all speeds.

If you are road racing and need a wing for added downforce in high speed sweepers (lowering your car doesnt add downforce ) then just get whatever wing WORKS. Looks should be the last thing on your mind.

All wings that add downforce add drag. That is the tradeoff.

I remember reading something I think it was on here about how at highway speeds spoilers add down force and help stablize the car .. I could be wrong. but many cars come withh factory spoilers, they wouldent be there if they didnt serve some purpose ......

On a side note what is the effect of reducing the turbulance behind a HB ?

Less turbulence=less drag.
