h22 into a 93 2.3?
Hi. I'm not so fimilar with preludes.. well I'm getting this pretty good offer to buy a 93 si prelude. It's not running right now so I'm getting if for 800 bucks.. the out side is still in great shape. I'm not sure what's wrong with it but the engine won't start. I'm wondering if it's just a simple drop in and get a h22 wire harness? Thanks
Yeah, basically it is since some 4th gen Preludes came stock with the H22 motor. All swaps take a little elbow grease, but that swap will be an easy one. I'd do it if I were you, can't go wrong with 800 bucks and a clean body
Depending on the year of the motor, you can reuse your old H23a wiring harness. And if you're lucky, your Prelude Si already came with the VTEC wires wired in! Check the engine bay by the passenger side, there should be a connector with a single wire that isn't pluged into anything. I believe the connector is BLUE in color. I found that out after I already ran a new wire to the ECU connector and discovered that the pin I'm suppose to tap it into was already occupied. So it was pretty easy afterwards.
Everything else is a drop in.
BTW, that AllTrac looks familiar. Ever been on HOL?
