2006 SRS light fix
SRS light was on in my 2006 Honda CRV. The fasten seat belt light was staying off with the driver seat belt off. This video helped solve the problem:
However, I did not remove the seat or seat belt buckle assembly, by pushing the seat all the way back and lowering the center tray, I could bend the buckle back and expose the two torq screws pf the buckle cover. I pried on the safety pin in the two buckle torq screws with a screw driver, then was able to remove the two screws with a #10 torq bit. (as the video says you can get a safety bit kit from harbor freight). Then I removed the buckle cover - two pieces.
Following the video, I used a sewing pin to open the red seal of the switch and sprayed CRC QD Electric Cleaner into the switch. After a couple of actuations of switch, the seat belt warning light started working and the SRS light went off. Put the cover back on, job done.
$9 for cleaner, 30 minute labor, problem solved.
