Door latch on drivers door broke off when I went to open the door. I replaced the latch but it does not open the door. The outside drivers side door handle works fine.Could it be that the other end of the rod (that attaches to the latch)has become disconnected from the other end ? I am trying to not have to remove the door panel unless I have to. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

How did you replace it with out taking off the door panel?

why don't you want to take the door panel off?
