A friend has a 2002 Odyssey with the famed transmission troubles. I haven't pulled the codes yet but I'm guessing it's internal issues to the transmission from what I've been reading, here & elsewhere. I would like to help them out so I'm doing the leg-work of what's involved in pulling, rebuilding & replacing the 5-sp transmission in their van. I've done the searches online & watched a couple videos; I will probably break down & order the service manual before doing the job, I'd just like to read through the procedure to see if this is something I'm ready to bite off or not.
Two questions:

1. Is there a good online source for that procedure?
2. What are the best service manuals for that level of work? Go with the Honda-brand or another publisher?
