Default Fitting 16x9+20p rims with 1 inch spacers.

Hey everyone, this is my first post here.

I've got a 1992 Civic EG4 hatch project I've been working on for a few months now.
I decided to wide body it awhile ago with 3" flares, 1" wheel adapters, and 16x9+20p rims (ignore how they look, purely bought them cause it was the only 16x9 4x100s I could find in NZ). Tyres/Tires : 225/50/r16.

I'm finding that I can't full lock/full turn (clearly) due to the fact the wheels are hitting the fender walls and the front wheels are poking slightly out which causes it to rub slightly on the front flares;
The rear fitment and flares are PERFECT, no issues there.

Would the best solution be to downgrade rim size to 15x8s? I've had to cut a lot out of the panels to make these fit already

I currently don't have adjustable suspension/coilovers installed, or camber arms.

Any help or solutions would be highly appreciated! Thanks heaps in advance!!

P.S
The car has not been engine swapped yet or boosted, still waiting on a friend to finish building a b18c. I've just mocked up / installed the intercooler and piping and other things in prep for the engine swap

EDIT:
They're wheel adapters not spacers.

1. nobody installs an intercooler in preparation of a swap.
2. widebody does not mean riveting home depot garden edging on your car
3. spacers, especially that big, are unsafe. please kill this shitbucket with fire before it kills someone else.

NOTE: My response and assistance suggestions in no way endorse or condone what you are trying to do. Running spacers that large IS dangerous... wheel adapters are better.

The tire size is WAY wrong. You need to get P225/40R16's to minimize the contact with the body when you turn. This will also give you some room once you lower the car. This particular size is likely difficult to find as it only came stock on ONE vehicle that I am aware of... the front of a '91-95 Acura NSX.

1. I've left it on mocked up with the piping - pretty much any new turbo stall you have to do unless you've some how got perfectly made piping and mounts for the intercooler?
2. I wish my local home depot sold car flares, LOL.
3. They're wheel adapters

Thanks for the advice!

Also my bad, they are wheel adapters.
