Default intake runners

ok, my friend and i were wanting to know, what the intake runners actually are, well to say that better, are the intake runners between the intake manifold and the engine itself? or are the intake runners part of the intake manifold? we are confused on this, thanks

I believe you are referring to your secondary butterflies. They help produce low end torque up to 5250 rpms. some people remove them on full blown race motors, but for mild motors id recommend keeping them. You sacrifice low end power for a little bit of top end power.

The intake runners are the actual runners on the intake manifold. The part between the intake manifold and the combustion chamber is called the Intake Port or Exhaust port.
