Congrats on the ride man If you shop wisely, you should get a cold air intake/catback exhaust setup. That will give your car a good aggressive tone and give a few ponies to boot (best bang for the bucks mods you can do). I agree with NCH22driver, you need a good suspension setup with shocks and coilovers (or springs if you know exactly what kind of drop you are looking for). I'm pretty sure you could fit all of that in a 1500 budget, otherwise you could invest in a dry kit nitrous setup and not worry about suspension modificaiton

To start off with

Performance: Intake, Exhaust, pullies
Suspension: Coilovers, strut/sway bars

what year and type of prelude? You got to fill us in.

I took the backward approach to modding. 1st was a vafc, then an exhaust, and cai is next. Hey, it worked well for me.

1st of all, congrats! Next, what year, gen is it? I agree with the others; i'd go exhaust/cai/strut tower/rear tie. That might blow all your loot, depending on which brands you go with.

If you're like me (and most of us), the more you get for it, the more you'llsee that you want to get. I also started with a budget, now i've got my own rolling money pit...Enjoy!!!

u can do it,. just gotta know the right people. for instance geta t3/t4 turbo for bout 300 here in ric. and a manifold for bout 300-400 used. thats bout 900 so far if even. then the piping can be done at a muffler shop for bout 200 here. then a fmic from a starion for bout 100. so far thats bout 1100. then then the fittings and other misc. stuff lets say at most 150 from jc whitney. thats 1250 so far and an fmu to hold the fuel temp and inline pump look at parts trader they can be bout 150-200 for both. so far thats bout 1450 give or take and and a wastegate for bout 100 so far bout 1550. and gauges ~ 50 buck for autometer boost gauge. or get a used one. go to http://www.homemadeturbos.com those people do it all the time,. its all bout shopping around.
