So I haven't started up the 91 integra for 2 weeks. As I started it up, I hear a high pitched whistling sound coming from the bay. Its comes and goes. One day it will be constant. Then the other day you will not hear it at all.

I popped the hood to try to pinpoint it but its very hard to tell. What would be a common problem? Thanks

Is it possible to upload a video? If not, get a piece of 3/4" hose, put it up to your ear and move it to various areas around the engine bay to pinpoint the area of the bay it's coming from. A whistling noise is too general so I think people are hesitant to comment. Could be a bad tensioner, squeaky belts, vacuum leak can all sound like a whistling/high pitched whine.
