2006 CR-V A/C not engaging when is hot outside
Hi everyone.
I have problem with my A/C but only when is hot outside (more then 25 degrees of Celsius). Below this temperature is everything OK. I checked out clutch, coil and relays. I tried manually engage compressor (unmounted relay and shortened wires) and compressor started. After while compressor released pressurized coolant. Problem for me is that I have no access to any service manual or schematics, so I do not know what I can check (I presume that there must be some temperature and pressure sensors) and where are those sensors located. To be precise I have 2006 CR-V, diesel 2,2litres Executive. Can anyone provide me some advice or manual or something? Thank you very much ... and I am sorry about my English

I have very little experience with A/C. Since you mentioned an ambient temp. sensor I checked alldata real quick but didn't see an option for the diesel 2.2L. Probably because the diesel CR-Vs weren't sold in the states. I'm wondering if it's the same area as the 2.4L gasser in which case it would be on the front below the horn. Testing the sensor involves dipping it in ice water and measuring resistance, followed by dipping in warm water and measuring resistance and comparing the two values, and comparing it to a graph. If it's out of spec according to the graph, you replace it. Let me know if you want that info.
