Prelude SH vs. Integra GS-R
I'm sorry if this may sound like a topic recently mentioned
My dad
LOL is gonna race my friend cause my dad was kinda ripping on his teg in a friendly way. So they will race on a rural road in my county and a few of my friends have put some hefty wagers on this race. My dad doesn't know my friend Jeff putt $150 on his Lude
If he knew he wouldn't race.
Anyway my Dad drives a 2001 Prelude SH, 5 speed stock. My friend drives a 1998 Integra Type R,5 speed stock. The only mod on his car is 17 inch rims on Yokohama AVS ES 100's.
And my dad is way slicker with the shifter then Jay ( friend )
but will Type R carry him to victory?

whoever gets the launch should win...since the prelude has the torque it might get a jump, but then again, the R has an LSD which should help slightly. driver's race...but ill give the R the go.

GSR has too big of rims....slows him down...tell him to race your dad w/ stock 15's...the GSR should win big time...old men (my dad for example) are scared to take my car up to redline or even into vtec because the noise scares him...also thinks he will damage the motor revving this high! LOL
anyways, GSR should win

my pops loves VTEC lol and he is not a good loser... He's gone to the redline in the family Accord, full, on a trip to New Orleans. He loved VTEC in his first Honda a 4th gen Prelude VTEC.
umm it says SH vs GSR then you tell us about a type R.....so which is it gonna race, a gsr or type r.......
if its stock to stock
type R > SH
gsr almost the same as an SH so its a tough call

the r will win but if the driver sucks, and i mean really sucks, then the prelude will win. the r and sh have the same horsepower but the sh is heavier and the r has awesome gearin. if its a gsr, then its a close call. power to weight ratio is close so like everyone said, it depends on the driver/launch/tires etc.
but....take the sh against the r in turny and twisty roads and the sh will be not even be seen in the mirror. remember the r is not typically a drag car, it is built for curves and turns, which it does incredibly!
my $.02
btw...your dad is the ****!

I beat a stock SH in my gsr with nitto 555R's AEM ITR CAI and skunk2 mani... that doesn't really help you out that much but its a real world comparison.
Integra Type-R > Integra GS-R > Prelude SH
This is when they're all stock. The Prelude SH is quicker than the other cars from 110mph+
I've done MANY MANY testing and racing with my friend's Type-R's, Prelude's, RSX Type-S', and my GS-R.... And the results were that when they're stock or slightly modified, its usually the Type-R up in front, then the Type-S barely edging out the GS-R, and the GS-R Barely edging out the Prelude.
Once you modify any of these cars, its a whole new ball game...

if it's SH VS ITR
i would say ITR ripped your dad's butt~
just a thought
Lude will get beat either way and its definitely going to get beat rolling against a type R i don't care what anyone says and if he doesnt beat that lude then let me drive SHITTT!!!
Who's rolling the 17's?
Cause if it's the ITR and they're heavy, the ludes got a sporting chance. It all comes down to driver skill.
I wouldn't bet on it though.
