94 integra starting issue
Ok so my 94 Integra rs has always been super reliable except for a little starting issue. If i let the car sit for an extended period of time and go to start it, it will just turn over but not fire. If i turn the key and let the fuel pump prime it fires right up every time. I was thinking fuel pressure reg but not sure and dont think it would be the pump or relay since its only on start up and never stalls. Any advised would help.
Guess I should clarify extended time period, Its a daily driver so when I try to start the car every morning or afternoon I basically have to wait for the fuel pump to prime before I start the car, if not it just cranks but no start. I ordered a boat load of parts this week so Ill see if it fixes the issue. I ordered fuel filter, dist cap and rotor, wires, relay, and a few gaskets, and replacing every vacuum line. If it still happens Ill replace the fuel pres regulator and pump. Its got 188k so time for a extensive tune up. Im not to concerned since the car goes for paint next week then time for f20b h2b swap.
fpr is likely not the issue, mine has 355k and going strong.
closest dealer doesnt even keep them in stock since it's a rare failure.

you starting circuit is probably fine if its cranking but not firing up. I would check the engine harness for any corroded wires.
Just replaced my sisters engine harness with a good one. I use contact cleaner and di-electric grease for all connectors. I removed the old electric tape, wrapped it with super duty 88 electric tape, clean all the connectors. She started having start issues that would take the car a while to run. She also had a temp sensor plug corroded and wire broke off. Di-electric grease should keep those corrosions from occuring quicker. Its a 95 integra so it was bound to happen.
