Best Exhaust???
I'm running a Greddy SP myself and I love it. I want to go with the EVO now but I'm afraid to put it on. I've got no cat and my car is loud right now and it would be alot louder with an EVO. But yeah, thats definitely a good choice.
hey there, i can get you full mandrel bent exhaust piping. we can attach several different style of mufflers to it. This will beat any axelback exhaust system. Not only do you get piping that is full mandrel bent to Oem Specs, but you have the option of running it stright from the downpipe back. Email me or PM me for exact details and pictures. Avg Piping runs 200-250 shipped. That beats any 385 buck axelback style muffler. There are several ppl running this all over the board.

I'm an APEXi fan and also a fan of "re-sellable" car-parts in general.... being able to sell shiet later to someone else is nice....you can recoup some of your hard-earned money from someone else looking for a APEXi World Sport exhaust...(it's quiet too)
I would go with Mike (KTeller8). I wish I would have had his deals before I spent 1,100. on my custom cat back...
Holy crap you raped!!! Worse yet, you probably lost some seriuos torque too with 2.5 inch pipe.
I run a Greddy Evo on my '96 Accord. Sounds great! Not loud, but just right. It has a nice mellow tone to it. I have a stock cat on it right now, but when first put it on, I had a test pipe. That's when it sounded loud and obnoxious, not to mention the loss of torque due to really low exhaust back pressure. Best bet is the Greddy Evo or even the SP. Good luck!
i'm loving my GReddy EVO. its not loud but i threw on my test pipe after emissions testing and it got a lot louder. so now i sound like most of the other guys out there. with the cat in place though it's really not too much louder than stock, well i say that but i had a hole in my stock muffler before i put it on so it was about as loud or quieter. very livable though. that's kind of odd that you felt a loss in torque steve cuz i could definitely feel a gain in mine when i slapped in the test pipe, but i did lose a bit of my bottom end. it's got very little punch until around 3.5-4g. how large of diameter was yours?

Wuts all this about loosing torque with 2.5 piping?
Well, Yodi my pipe's diameter was the same size as the stock exhaust piping, maybe even slightly larger, and the EVO piping I believe is 2 1/2". When I used it with the stock exhaust, I felt the difference. When I put the EVO on, I left the pipe in place to see how the car would react. I felt a loss of low end torque and some high end as well. However, it might have just been me. I don't know if this would help, but right now and at the time I did this test, I was running the stock intake system, somewhat. Actually, the resonator was removed, as well as the inner shielding inside the fender, I used stock airbox w/ a K&N drop in, and a 3" aluminum intake tube going from the box to the TB. I have a K&N cone filter that I could have attached to the piping, but I forgot to try that out. Would adding this filter make any difference? I plan on getting an AEM CAI soon.

I would say that you would need more air/fuel going in to take advantage of larger diameter exhaust piping.
Where is Misa when you need him? He will agree that 2.5 inch is the way to go.

that's what i'm running, a 3-inch j-pipe with a huge friggin' cone filter on it. it very well could help dunno never tried it with that setup. the cone filter does have more surface area so it probably does flow a bit better. actually i think the EVO uses a kinda funky diameter like 2.36". don't quote me on that it's just a # i semi remember seeing in corrolation with my exhaust
I plan on going turbo so I wish I would have actually gone 3" piping...
