S2000 hid kit on a 2000 Lude
Try getting a HID kit from a CL instead. They are reflector hids so will probably work better in your 'lude. S2000 may be projector (not sure) but you'd have to modify your headlights to make that work. (I assume.)
I've got som H1 Hids in my 98 lude. They are sweet, but they have a lot of glare.

would one from a CL be a direct fit?
Hey, check this link. Mine has glare but it looks exactly like this:

No need to feel bad about having to get H1 Hids!

damn that sux, i really like the way a s2000 hid looks. oh well thanx anywayz fellas. good lookin out.
I picked up a philips set. It is a D2S bulb, though the base is made to fit an H1 housing. (I did have to get some plastic rings from the hardware store to make it perfect though). Just do some research online, I believe there are some places selling 'H1' HID kits. (Found mine from a user on hp.com)
I was lookin at a Philips 4300K H1 kit, would it still have glare and blind other drivers?
The white lude wit the Audi TT Projector Retrofit looks phat. Anyone know what i need to get/do for that setup?

the 5th gen reflector housing is NOT designed for HIDs. You, like almost everyone out there (including myself) will end up cranking your lights to the ground to keep from blinding(flashburning?) oncomng traffic.
looks great? yes!
high beams still useful? Not really.
hids more than make up for lack of high beams? Definitely.

i'm using hte lexus IS HID's on my 4th gen. i'm sure you can make those fit with some modification. they're bright as hell. i was driving next to an S2000 on the fwy and noticed they were brighter than his. maybe because of the JDM headlights and because my car is low, but they were slightly brighter.

since this thread is still up, i got another question. if i get the philips H1 HID kit for my lude, will it burn my headlight housing after using it for a period of time?

HID burns a lot cooler than halogen. its cool.. get the kit and only install one side..then turn the lights on for about 5 - 10 mins..then go touch both sides.. you'll be surprised.
