2004 CR-V cruise cluster light comes on, but won't engage
Hello, I searched the forum but couldn't find an exact answer to the issue I'm having for my 2004 CR-V.
When I press the "cruise control main switch," the light on the switch does not turn on.
However, when I press the "set/deccl." button, the cruise control light on the instrument cluster does come on. Despite this, cruise control won't engage.
Any suggestions as to what I could test or look at to help diagnose my problem?
Thank you

I would suggest you check for error codes, but one of the common faults with cruise control is the twin acting brake light switch.
Also check all fuses think its number 7 under the hood (bonnet) your handbook should tell you the correct number.

Thank you for the suggestion. I checked all the fuses and they are all good. Must be brake light switch. Of interesting note, the other day the battery was completely dead, and the car had to be jumped. I tested the battery and it was supposed to be good, but I can't help wonder if it really is.
