Icon4 My 01 civic jerks during acceleration

I have a 01 civic ex and my problem is when I'm in neutral and I press the gas the car revs fine, it even idles with out a problem, what happens is when I'm in first car pulls no problem their is only a problem in2nd-5th if I press on the gas to pass or even speed up the car jerks and I guess bucks and seems to have no power. I pretty much have to baby it to get it up to
speed and I know it's not my tps I check that with a multi meter, not the coils changed plugs it stopped for a few days but it's right back.

You may have carbon build up in the EGR valve and ports. Common problem so looks of info out there if you Google Honda Civic EGR carbon cleaning.

Check the fuel pressure, autozone may do it for free. It should be around 40-45 lbs.

We think we’ve figured it out, the throttle position sensor needs replaced, hoping that fixes it.
