Radio Displaying A-Link
Hello all,
i have a 2017 Honda CR-V ex-t. I saw something today that seems new as I have never noticed it before. At the top of the stereo information display, the car has a new notification that says "A-Link" in between the dual climate control tempatures. I have also noticed, due to the new notification, the passenger side climate tempature is being cut off on the display.
i was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if anyone knaows what the A-Link is since I tried googling it and diving through the menus but come up with nothing
thanks!

I have a 2017 CR-V with the same issue. Just popped up in the last couple of weeks. Called the Honda technology assistance number, and the agent said he had nothing in his system about this being an issue, nor what the solution might be. The only thing he could think of was that "A-Link" is an Acura term -- and he wasn't sure why it would pop up on the screen of a Honda vehicle. He suggested taking it to my dealer's service department so that they could investigate further there.
Same here. On my 2017 CR-V Touring, the "A-Link" just appeared tonight after not being there all day. Nothing else seems to be affected, and it does not cut off the temperature display. It is positioned dead center at the top. It disappears when I change screens, but comes right back after a few seconds. I am already visiting a my Honda dealer on Monday regarding a friend's CR-V EX. I will see if she has the same issue and will ask the tech department if they know anything.
So it's interesting -- mine ended up going away on its own about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and it happened while we were driving cross-country on a vacation. Not sure if that's coincidental or not.... or if perhaps Honda pushed something out to the radio that caused it to change. I didn't check yesterday or today yet - but I have been "A-Link" free for a couple weeks now.
Solution ... Honda suggested that I simply reboot the system for the "A-Link Alert" to go away. Ironically, it first appeared after I did a reboot a few days ago in response to the system freezing up. I did another one today and it finally disappeared. Simply push and hold the power/volume **** for a few seconds while the car is on until a screen comes up asking if you want to reboot. Select "Yes" and let it go dark and restart itself. The whole process takes about a minute. Problem solved.
It also makes sense that Stevemama's problem went away on it's own. The display screen is actually an Android tablet which goes to "Sleep" when the car is turned off. That's why it starts up as fast as it does. It periodically shuts down and restarts to clear out memory and running apps only during the night when the car is off. That option is in the system menu and is turned on by default. His system must have rebooted on its own one night during the trip and cleared the alert. If this is the case, then everyone's A-Link notification will eventually go away unless the reboot option is turned off in the menu. Hope this helps!
