This car I am looking at has 160K miles and the owner states it burns 1 quart every 1500 miles. Will this need an engine rebuild soon?

 

A friend of mine was having this issue and his mechanic had recommended that we rebuild his engine. It seems that the piston rings were worn and was burning oil constantly. Your situation may be different from his, but I just wanted to let you know that it is a possibility that a rebuild is something you may be needed in the near future. You can always do a motor swap.
