H22 whining while accelerating and loss of power
hi guys
My h22 lude recently developed whining noise and there is a loss of power specially at low end. Sometimes it runs perfect, vtec kicks in no problems and sometimes it losses power and vtec very weak.
Any ideas

whats your maintenance history? :
when you have replaced your ignition components?
cleaned valves (egr and so on)?
last time adjusted valves, changed air & fuel filters.....?

I just replaced the cap and rotor last weak because the car wasn't starting. Spark plugs and fuel filter almost a year. Checked for codes nothing. Valves adjusted few months back
- air filter and spark plug wires
- clean injectors/iacv/egr/fitv
- check does sensors work properly: map, iat and tps (and try calibrating tps), o2 sensors
- clogged cat might you give some trouble as well (usually when driving) - check cats condition
- check throttle cable (tight enough)

Could be the auto tensioner failing or one of the bearings failing or gone bad. I would probably do a timing belt kit if you narrow it down to the timing side.
when was last timing belt job done?
If auto tensioner would be failed, you probably would have bent valves and a lot more problems than now

My timing belt made the car sound like it had a super charger when the belt was too tight. You should have some play in the belt, as in you should be able to push it with your finger and it should bend.
Balancer belt? Maybe its an issue with your balance shaft? Are you still running a balance belt?
You can check the distributor for OIL, maybe the bearing in the dist is going bad.

Just to let you know guys problem solved. It was the oil pressure sensor leaking a lot and making the oil pressure drops. I had it replaced and now no more leaks no more whining noise 😁
