Headgasket replacement in Civic DX 2005
I have a dead cylinder #4 in my 2005 Civic Coupe DX, it's only produces 10PSI. Also I have to constantly add oil, before I replaced the valve cover gasket, every 300 miles and after every 170 miles. Looking for a good manual with pictures how to replace headgasket. I already have Haynes repair manual with specs and torque wrench.
The car is shaking when idling. There's no white smoke comes out from exhaust either.

There's no better repair manual than the factory service manual - I no longer will buy a Haynes manual, they are almost worthless to me. I used a factory manual a few weeks ago to replace my head gasket.
They include a lot of details about the correct Honda-way to perform the service, which are usually left out of DIY guides or cheaper manuals.
It's also got very good illustrations etc.
You want something like this
But if you shop around you can get lucky with a lower price.
Make sure you are getting than actual manuals that matches your car - you probably don't want the manual for the GX or hybrid Civics.
And make sure you are NOT buying a CD version of the manual or something.

$140?! Damn! They used to be sixty-something!
Check your local Craigslist or possibly even eBay. You want the 2001-2005 manual, part number 61S5C01.
Although it were some time ago, I scored one (via CL) from a retiree for only $20.

Thanks for your reply! I didn't know that there's a factory service manual for Honda exists. I'll shop around, maybe I get lucky to find one cheaper. Is there any resources available online that you might know of?
