Hello, new member to the site but I have spent a lot of time reading many posts on the forum for a long time. 1998 Civic EX is wife's first new car purchase! I have been maintaining it for her for many years. It has been a great reliable car. It is now been relegated as a second car for both of us for a while now and does not get used more than a few thousand miles a year for the last couple of years. It has just under 200k miles on it and has recently developed a P1457 evap problem. I went through troubleshooting that issue and the service manual got me to the point of "ECU replacement". A swapped out ECU will not start the car and that is where we are now. Will run on the original ECU but not the replacement. I have posted in the tech forum if anyone wants to take a look or has some ideas that would be great.
