Anyone put the gauges in their EG dash? Above the glove box?
I was thinking about putting all the water temp, oil temp, pressure at the area above the glove box. But I don't know if I'll have space behind the dash. Anyone did this?
I thoguht about putting not vital gauges in that location but opted against it and put them where my factory radio would have been. I still don't look at them very often it's just not effective to be looking away from your driving field of view when racing. Which is what I base my answer on. I'd look into a optional audio console they sell and either put them there or in the factory radio spot location, before I hacked the dash up. I know of a couple guys that did it though and iddn't look bad.
Autometer makes a mold for 2 5/8" gauges that fit there but also covers your two middle vents for a monster tach.
There is a couple idea's for you.

The gauges I'm putting there are not vital. That's why I don't really care to look at them while I'm racing. I just wanna know how my water temp and oil temp are. But the option console you said is tempting. Any idea where I can get it?
i havnt done it but i have seen it done ans thought about it ,i even looked at there seemed to be plenty of room,i did see it done before though.....for real.
dude, put them in the glove box....my friend put water temp, voltage, oil temp, and VAFC inside the glove box to where you open it up, it displays them all.

if the gauges are "non-vital" then i suggest putting them somewhere where they will not attract attention, the glove box being the best spot. with all the theft going on daily, the less reasons you give a punk-*** theif to look your way the better.
Cool man, can you ask him how he did it? Some more pics would be great. Is it from a 5th gen Civic?
man this pic sucks i need to get a better one but this is it on my friends car.
I seen a add that nopi sells those fitments for the glove box that lets u mount the guages in there. Also dont they sell the mount that lets u putem on the dash by the vents
The glove box is a great spot. Stealth I don't know about you guys but when I drive in the city or daily the last thing I want to do is draw more attention to my car. Good Idea.
As for if you want the optional console piece I would go through:

you can get them on classifieds here or ebay but this place is solid for most of your oem needs.

i definately would NOT put them in the glove box, or above it since from teh driving seat they would be hard to see... i DEFINATELY feel that they are MUCH better towards the center council as per visability, or on the pilar purely from a visibilty stand point..
