My first Honda car, 91 Honda Beat, TEXAS
Good Morning Honda-tech!
A little about myself. I have never owned a Honda car, however I have owned several sport bikes, one of which was my Honda CBR 600, that I loved dearly. Thing was bullet proof until Hurricane sandy hit while I was gone.
I have been active duty for 6 years and am now with the Lotus Driving Academy at MSR Houston's track. My first car when I joined was a 65' Corvair corsa turbo coupe I bought when I was 18. Thing was a rust bucket as I was stationed on the east coast. From Arkansas originally. My next car at 20 was a 2005, then 2006 Lotus Elise. I love small cars & sport bikes.
My roommate is one of the owners of "the shop Houston", who specializes in building performance skyline & GTR packages. They also build a lot of other cool stuff, but anyway they imported this 91 Honda Beat with 14,800 miles on it around 23K kh/m I believe. He started telling me about it and I had to go check it out. I went up to the shop, and I absolutely fell in love with this little car. It's in AMAZING condition, the car has to be an 8 or 9/10. The interior looks like no one ever touched it, theres no fades/cracks or stains on carpet. I couldn't let this thing get away. I've drove some of the r32's at my roommates shop but I've never owned a rhd vehicle. It didnt take long to get used too and I love it. Car seems to be super simple to work on, especially after removing the access panels. The first thing I plan to do is change all the belts, alternator, water pump & pulleys. I plan to keep the car all original as it's in such great shape I would hate to modify it. It also appears the car has an undercoating (factory I assume as its under some lines) and the car is completely rust free. I can't believe how new it looks. anyway I hope to share more of my Honda beat in the future and if there are any other owners in the Houston area that would be cool to meet up and maybe get some shots. One of my good friends has a red NSX I want to take some pics of the beat with as mine is red as well. Here is a video of my car and I will try to post more in the future as it's such a cool little machine!!
