4krpms @ 80mph w/ 195/50/15 tires give or take 100-200rpms since the stock tach shows higher compared to my 10FOOT high Autometer tach basically gsr tranny on a ls motor.. when I had the ls tranny I was hitting I believe 3500@80mph on 195/50/15 tires or so

5k at 80mph is what kept me away from wanting to swap to ITR gears. I drive around 80 everyday on the highway.

3500rpm @ 80mph in 5th gear(s80 LS tranny). Automatic LS tranny does 3250rpm @ 80mph.

For those of you guys listing tires size, thanks - it does makeka difference when we're talking mph and rpm in 5th gear.

I'll have to double check mine, but here's how it should break down:

99-00 Civic Si, USDM and pre-'98 spec JDM ITR, CTR, Del Sol VTEC, second-gen JDM B16A hydro, and the '98 Spec ITR ALL have the exact same 5th gear cruising rpm.

Now before anyone jumps my **** and says "but the '98 spec ITR has the 4.78 FD in it!" true it does, but it also has the taller 4th and 5th gears from the GS-R tranny and the 4.78 FD combined with the .787 5th equals the exact same cruising rpm in 5th as the 4.400 FD and the .848 ITR 5th equals nearly identical 5th gear cruising.

The USDM and JDM Integra GS-R trannies will have a lower cruising rpm in 5th because of the 4.400Fd and the .787 5th gear.

JDM S1/J1 cable trannies will have an even higher cruising rpm in 5th because they have the same 4.400FD but also have a shorter 5th gear - forgot the spec but I'm sure their 5th gear is shorter (higher number) than the .848 ITR/Civic Si 5th gear.

LS trannies will have the lowest crusing rpm of any stock tranny because of the 4.26FD and the tall-*** (lower numer) 5th gear too.

Tires size and tachs will vary, so really the best way to judge all of this is to check a gearing chart - I don't have the link handy, but I'm sure someone will chime in shirtly with it. It was on the autocrossing.com site.
