I have a 2000 Civic Si and I am considering getting a LSD and/or getting ABS installed on my car. I also am considering getting a vortech supercharger w/ after cooler and wondered if anyone has the 0-60 or quarter mile time? Any info about the price of the LSD or abs would be helpful as would info about the performance numbers for the setup with the supercharger. Thanks alot guys!

I would seriously invest in a LSD and a FD for the 2000si.. you'll notice a huge difference is handling and overall accleration.. I say get the ATS 4.929 FD that'll rip in your b16.. forget the S/C go all motor =P there I HELPED are u happy..honestly the vortech S/C is really no different from a Turbo charger and puts your engine at just as much risk and maintenance..so if I WAS YOU which I am not I would just do a search =x .. good luck

 

don't see the point of abs(i mean my bro has abs and I don't but I mean they stop pretty much the same, my brakes have never gave me problems)...just get lsd and screw votech charger get revhard turbo kit....you will be happier with what you get.

why would you suggest a turbo instead of a SC? the most powerful I could find was greddy at like 243 hp vs Vortech at 277hp

 

just did a search found a few posts on the S/C .. I'm sure if u look thru it you'll see references to other forums outside of HT who have more information on the supercharger

 

277 from votech is that correct...i think the revhard does like +120 from stage 2 and i heard you could pull up to 400 hp from that kit. I just think its sweet and I'll be buying one in 6 months.

the 277/276 from the vortec is very reliable at 8psi. just don't add NOS, it'll scoot but a b16 bottom end wont hold- it'll blow rings. TRUST ME

 

head to the scandanavian peninsula to get LSD's dirt mufukin cheap....

the VTI's are B16A_2s with LSDs...they are very common, so naturally easier to get at a more inviting price.

 

should i build up my internals with just the vortech ?

 

Hell w/the vortech. Turbo that biznitch. My friend has a 2000 SI w/a vortech and it runs a consistent 14.6. You'll be much happier w/a turbo. TRUST ME.
