Anyone Know How to Remove Recline/Height Adjustment Knobs on an EJ8 seat?
Hey guys,
I just picked up an OEM seat out of a 99 EJ8. Since it's in better condition overall, I plan to use the EJ8 seat to replace my stock HX seat. The only problem is that the previous owner of the EJ8 must have LOOOVED doggies, because the seat (and the whole interior for that matter) was absolutely LITTERED with dog hair.
I've cleaned most of it up and I'd like to take off the plastic trim pieces on the sides to extract as many stray hairs as I can, but I'm hung up on how to remove the plastic height adjustment and backrest recline ***** without breaking them off. Any advice?
Thanks!

This is probably an extremely late reply but you’ll have to remove the two screws on the left (under the far left ****) and right side (both are Philips). Once you do that, you’ll have room to lift it slightly and right under them are pins that hold them. (Exactly like the manual window *****.) once you remove the pins they’ll pop right off when you pull em.

I hope the OP isn't still trying to get those ***** off after all this time.Again, Great Job.
Thanks! I made an account just to reply to it lmao. Bothered me so much cause I couldn’t find any info when I was looking up how to do it.
