01 Civix EX wont start
Hi guys. The other day, was attempting to leave work and my 01 civic wouldnt start. The first couple of times it turned over and got extremely close to starting, but then died. Since then theres been no noise whatsoever when I try to start it. We tried cleaning off the battery terminals and giving it a jump, but nothing. I should note that all of my dashlights, headlights, and power windows are functioning well. Ive had a couple of people suggest it may be the starter, which I replaced roughly two years ago with a part from Auto Zone. My coworker who is more car literate than I am tried tapping my starter while I attempted to start it up, and he rrported that it was sparking up and shorting out. I want to be sure of the problem before buying any parts, and I'm broke until I get paid in a couple of days anyway. Was just wondering if any of you have experienced this problem and may know the cause. I will state again that I do not know much about cars myself. Thank you all!
Also, there is a small one-wire spade connector on the starter that gets loose a lot, double check that is connected *solidly* to the connector on the starter.
