5th Gen Adjustable Camber Kits
OK SO...what is the shortage of adjustable camber kits for Preludes? Is it some quest I need to conquer? The only ones I've found allow for like 3 degrees of adjustment and are either adjustable upper control arm mounts or adjustable sliding upper ball joints. I've had sliding upper ball joints on a 94 CD5 and they would slam crazy hard into the top of the shock tower part of the body on a hard bump. Say I lower my car 2.5" or so, is 3 degrees of camber adjustment gonna be enough? I'm half temped to custom fabricate adjustable sliding ball joint mounts on my stock control arms. What have you guys done for your lowered Prelude?
thanks, Ian
My old Accord had some problems with upper ball joints (it had lowering springs) so I decided to do things differently with Prelude
when installed adjustable ball joints (with lowering springs):
rear
-1.37 > -0.45
-2.03 > -0.40
front
-0.53 > -0.06
-1.53 > -0.07
lowering springs to coilovers (adjusted to about same height):
rear
-0.58 > -0.55
-0.35 > -0.43
front
-0.17 > -0.10
+0.17 > +0.10

My car may be a little different as a 4th gen, but I have the adjustable mount control arms, and they have been great for me, perfect alignment at anywhere from -2 to -4.5 of drop. When at the lowest, I was still hitting the end of the control arm up front enough to bend the lip down a bit, but I couldn't take the car being that low anyways, looked cool but sucked to drive!
