Default Motor mount problem

I think this is a motor mount problem.. I have place racing motor mounts (polly urithane right?) well my car makes a crazy ticking sound when there is torch on the motor and when i turn to the right my alternator pully starts grinding my body. So my main question is, is that what the problem is? it sounds like it is the back lower mount.. How do i get to this to see if it is loose? I can barely see it. Man this pisses me off , a little help would be great thanks

use a pry bar of some sort and move the engine with it and watch the mounts you should be able to tell which one is causing the problem also did you smash the frame with a hammer by where the alternator pulley is?

Why are you holding a torch to your motor?!?!?!? Would that be Oxy/aceteline or propane?

the frame is suposed to be "massaged" for alternator clearance when you swap any B-series into an ED. If your mechanic had any experiance, he should've known that. I'd take it back and make him do it right.

so i don't know how to spell. anyways, the motor has been swaped for a couple of years and it just started doing it. So is it the motor mount making that crazy ticking/clicking sound?

Sorry man, I couldn't help it.

I would take care of your alternator problem first by making a dent in the frame rail to clearance the alternator pulley, it may be causing the ticking sound you're hearing. If you're still having problems after that look into the motor mounts.

Yeah you need to smash the hell out off the frame where the alternator is or cut a little place with a graider so that it will fit. that is with any B-series motor in a hatch. And with the clicking noise with the motor mounts it might not even be your motor mounts that are cliking it might be your axles. My passanger side front axle clicks when i put the gas down and then stops when i let off i still have to fix mine so check to see if it is your axles.
