Hi! I can't get my EM1 in gear and I'm not sure why. I'm new to manual transmissions so I'm not sure what it is but I noticed a rubber piece had fallen off. It looks like part of a boot for maybe the clutch cylinder but I really don't know. Any ideas what it is and if so what I need to do? Thanks!

 

Have you looked under the car? I could be wrong but that looks like the shift linkage bushing that connects the stabilizer arm of the linkage to the transmission. When you look under there you'll see two long arms that connect to the transmission, I'm guessing one of them is disconnected at the transmission.
