Default Help! Stolen/recovered honda accord, won't stay turned on

Just finished replacing the ignition lock. So could the problem be the switch?
When i go to turn on the car, and let go of the key, it doesn't stay turned on and immediately turns off on it's own. (the engine doesn't run for more than a second).
So i initially thought the problem was the lock, but I just finished replacing it and the problem is still there. What could it be? Can anyone help?
Thanks!

It can be lots of things. If you want to troubleshoot it thoroughly, you can watch Schrodinger's Box YouTube video FASTTEC method. FASTTEC stands for Fuel, Air, Spark, Timing at the crank, Timing at the camshaft, and i forget the others. I am guessing it is Fuel delivery problem, like an aging fuel pump. You can borrow a fuel pressure test kit from places like AutoZone for free to check the fuel pressure. Scotty Kilmer also has lots of helpful videos on troubleshooting cars that won't start or cars that die randomly.

If they made a mess of the ignition tumbler the switch could have been damaged during the theft. I would check the ignition switch first for continuity of power when the it is turned to II(ON).
