Default Yanking the Rear Seat, Teg style

Did some searches with no avail.

How does one completely remove the rear seat in a 95 Integra?

2door right?

Take off all the plastic clips on the back of the seats. There is a plasitc "C" in between the 2 seats at the bottom. Take that out and the seat can be "pushed" towards the center and taken out.

The bottom part is just held on with 1 srew/bolt at the center. Take it out and lift the seat up from the rear.

This was what I did when I changed my fuel pump. This was over a year ago so if I am wrong or missing something please add. HTH

the weird part is that the *** area is really light while the reclinable back area pieces are pretty damn heavy

I weighed the rear seat top, bottom, trunk liner and if memory serves it was just under 30 pounds. The spare, jack and tools was mid 30's as well. The passenger seat is almost 40 pounds. I'm pretty sure when I totally gut the car I'm saving 100+ pounds.

Careful removing seats. I don’t know about the new Tegs but my 91 has razor sharp sheet metal. I know from experience. Tabs holding the trunk liner to the rear seat took a nice piece of flesh from my finger down to the bone. But putting the carpet through the was was worth it.

My dog ate a ton of foam out of the bottom part of my rear seats when i left them out to dry after washing them... Ghetto weight reduction at its best

Yeah, I took my seats out and set them in my parent's garage for a couple of days. When I went to get them out so I could sell them, I found that a bunch of mice had literally stripped the foam out of both the fronts and destroyed the back!

frickin mice!

Seriously! hahahah I also left my rear deck thingy(the hatch cover that flips up) in my parent's garage while I drove around with a stripped down teg for about 6 months. Came back to put my rear seats and everything in and my CAT had used the hatch cover as a scratching post, I had to buy a used one for $50 to replace that nasty thing

Not really. There is a center metal "loop" that extends to where the seat back covers. You have to remove the seat backs so you can access the loop where there is a bolt you have to remove. After you do it a few times, you can just leave it off so you don't have to take off the seat backs again.

All the above people who are saying it's much heavier than the bottom part is right. All the carpeting that goes into the trunk area is attached to the seatbacks.

Good luck.
