Are Si front calipers the same as EX front calipers??
Does anyone know if there are any significant differences? If I were to do a brake disc conversion would you guys recommend getting all 4? Or just upgrading the rears? I drive an EX btw thanks guys
yes, si and ex front calipers are the same - too bad i didn't know that before i purchased my front/rear swap. it did give me a chance to paint them pretty colors though.
dx/lx etc not the same.
that also means the when you buy your stainless brake lines (you might as well while youre doing all this swapping) you buy the kit for the si.

Wait!! Si hatch (96-00) or Si coupe (99-00)?? These are different! It also depends on the year EX......
What year EX do you have, and what year/style car is the "Si"??

any 6th gen EX, coupe sedan or hatch has the same front calipers as the 99/00 si. look up brake pads, they'll say 99-00 ex/si OR 96-00 lx/dx.
did someone not tell me about the 96-00 si hatch? are you from canada or something steve?

Wouldn't matter if he was from Canada or not. The SI's up there are our Ex's, so, no EX hatch, no SI (Canadian) hatch.

No, actually I'm originally from the UK, but now living in the US. Anyway, my info was based on the data from cobaltfriction.com's site listing Axxis Ultimates brake pads. There are different pad numbers for various Civics. I have a del Sol with 99 Civic Si coupe front brakes, and I thought the del Sol and Civics would be the same. They're not.
However, when I checked hondaautomotiveparts.com I found the same part number listed for the Civics (comparing 99 EX, 99 Si coupe).
So, in conclusion.....I don't know
Sorry for the confusion.And
to me for the 96-00 Civic hatch statement
I meant 92-95 Si hatch, honest!!Steve.....who's had a hard day so far......
