When I had bought my b20 from jdmdepot I was told to change the oil pump from jdm to usdm.
As reading some other article someone stated they needed a usdm timing gear to?
Can I just slap on the new oil pump on wit jdm gear ?
Others have said it should be just plug and play. But they obviously said to change it for a reason.

What car are you putting it in? I had to replace my Oil pump because my car was OBD2, thus needing a CKF sensor for the engine to operate. If youre going using an OBD1 harness you should be good to go; if youre using an OBD2 harness youll need a different oil pump. The internals are the same as far as I know (oil pump gears/rotors) As for the timing gear, who ever told you that is FOS, as far as my knowledge goes. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Hope this helps.If you need an OBD2 oil pump housing I have one.
