Emergency Brake light on & beeping
My light is coming on and the emergency brake is not being used.
In the past the emergency brake would get stuck and hard to put down to release the emergency brake.
I was getting in the car yesterday started the car and noticed the "red brake" light on the dashboard then the "Please release your emergency brake" comes on when i'm driving and it beeps.

You may have a damaged/defective switch by the emergency lever. You will need to take apart the center console to take a look at it.
