Hi I installed fog lights on my 2001 Honda civic just today and when I was driving around my car died, I got it jumped managed to drive it until I got home but once I let the car sit while on it died again. Im pretty sure I wired the fog lights properly and it might just be the alternator not being able to charge the system with everything on, are my suspicions correct or can there be another issue?

 

Disconnect power to the new fog lights and drive the car around... see if the stalling problem goes away. Stay close to home just in case.

 

Get a meter and read the alternator once before the fog lights are on and once after it should read the same. In order to charge the battery at 14v it should stay at 14v give or take
