Replacing Rear Knuckle to Lower Control Arm bushings on '02 CR-V 4WD
I've removed the 2 pressed in bushings on the rear knuckle on a 2002 4WD CR-V. These are the 2 bushing that are between the rear trailing arm and the rear knuckle. The Honda manual doesn't have any info on installing new bushings but Honda sells them. Just trying to find out if there's any specifics on pressing these back into the knuckle? Do they go in dry or need to be lubed or greased to ease the pressing back in process?
you probably already solved this but
I replaced the same bushing on an 04 pilot. I used a grade 8 bolt, washers, and nut with two sockets to draw in the bushing. I also thoroughly lubed the bushing and knuckle. What ever you do, dont heat the knuckle, heating will fry the grease.
