1994 Civic Grinding Noise
Hey Honda-Tech!
So my 1994 Civic has this grinding noise every time I start my car and this noise would happen whether the car is already warmed up or at cold starts also happens during the actually cranking of the car lol. So I figure I replace my starter and thats exactly what I did. After replacing the starter my car cranks fine with no grinding noise or so I thought. So the next day after replacing my starter I decided to take out my honda for a drive and when I started the car it cranked over fine but I heard a grinding noise right after the car fired up. So I let the car warm up a little bit and then I turned it off to try and start it again to see if the same grinding noise after my car has started will happen and it did. I then started to think that my car was "starting too fast" and I turned my car off again and tried starting it once more and as soon as I heard the engine crank over and start I immediately let go off the key and my car died out for a little bit and it like started up by itself lol. Any ideas on what this can be and sorry if this description is really messy I dont really know how to explain the problem well lol I was thinking my ignition switch can be the problem Im not too sure. Anything helps
Thanks!

Boy, you are all over the place. Narrow down where the noise is coming from. Dont just throw part at it because you "thought" it is causing the issue. Diagnose and troubleshoot.
