Default 94 accord d4 flashing codes

Hey, I have 94 accord and the D4 light started flashing. I got the blinking sequence (blinks 9 times, pauses, then blinks again 4 times). I'm not having any luck trying to find the codes, so I came here. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I was just trying to find them. A senior member Mad Mike has posted them during the past year or two in a thread about this subject but I too can't find the list.
Anyone? I have four short blinks from the "D" lamp.

Best bet is to have it scanned to get the exact code.

Thanks jollyhonda, this link was the correct one for the OBD I TCU transmission codes!

It's odd for me because the code I was seeing was for VSS no signal from speedo. However my speedo is working properly and doesn't ever seem to have any issues even intermittently. Now I have to say that I've only received this code a few times in the past year or so. Perhaps just a glitch in an old car or maybe something just barely out of tolerance?

It's possible it's either a wiring issue or perhaps the tcu is bad. You could try pulling the connector and taking a look at it.

If its 9 or 15 the sensor(s) may be gummed up with gunk on the ends, wipe em off and reinstall. Also check their resistance is within spec.
VSS signal failure could be a bad connection to the TCU. If the ECU is not throwing a code and the speedo works fine you may just have a loose/corroded pin on the TCU connection. Check all wiring and wire connections in the system.

TPS. NM, and NC control up shifting.
VSS has more do to with down shifting and cruise control functionality.
VSS can also be taken apart and cleaned if it is still suspect.

@Mad Mike

I double checked the flashing D lamp. Let me make sure I understand I have the TCU code right.

I jumpered the OBD I blue connector, and I received ONE long flash first, and then four short flashes, this repeats. So it is code 14 for the TCU?
Or is it just four?

So if it is the FAS-wire what is that, and unlike what your list shows my D4 lamp DOES light as normal when driving the car.

I will check the connectors for corrosion as well.

A bit more information. The car seems to shift normally from what I can tell, no obvious issues there at all.

For the record I have a 1994 Accord with OBD I. It may be an early production car too.

What is the FAS wire and what does it do?

Thanks.!

Code ten would repeat before moving onto the next, however the code would also start in numerical order, and code 4 would come before 10 if that were the case, but a long single pause followed by shorter blinks would indicate a code in the teens.

If you have a FAS-wire issue it may just be a temporary issue.
Recheck your code(s) from the ECU/TCU.
Clear the memory via the 'clock' fuse or pulling the negative battery cable.
Go for a drive and see if the code comes back.

Normally if the FAS-wire is a problem there is no communication between the ECU and TCU, which would usually put the TCU into a limp mode.
