Swapped a D16y7 With D15

My check engine light is on and car doesn't pass smog. The car runs good no problems. what can be the source of the light need help badly. thank you in advance

What is the code?

Also certain JDM parts such as two-stage VTEC heads are not legal in California.

D15 what? If it's JDM it doesn't have a CKF, you'll have to bypass. Need more details
