i have a 90tegls and if i leave my car sitting for awhile i have trouble starting it. i mean it will start but it takes a minute for the engine to kick in. sometimes if i turn the key off and turn it back over it starts right up need help

 

My car does the same thing. 94gsr. when i turn the key it clicks like the starter is trying to crank but cant. My battery was bad so i replaced that and it seemed to help for a while. But after about a month, it all came back. Ive been told its a bad starter, but havnt had a chance to tear it off and replace it.

 

Could you expand a bit on your condition? Is it having trouble cranking? As in sound like low battery, or slow cranking? Or is it just not "catching", as in it cranks fine, but just does not start running?

Depending on which way it is acting, there are different things to look into..

 

i think i might have found my problem in the spark plug i have bosch platinum4's and if anyone has them they know that the are alright at first but the are not as good as the ngk my wife has so will change sparks plugs and hopefully end my problem
